
We provided breakfast and lunch for Carlsbad 5000 VIP Tent. Thousands of runners participated in the 5k event put on by Competitor Group, who also organizes the Rock n' Roll Marathon that will happen at the end of the month. We provided a nutritious breakfast for the VIPs which included fresh fruit, hearty bagels and delicious pastries and muffins along with some refreshing bevereages. Lunch included fresh salads, mixed sandwiches and more. The grilled free range chicken breast on ciabatta with sun-dried tomato, onion, basil pesto mayo and spinach sandwich included chicken from Fulton Valley Farms, an organic, free range farm with humanely raised chickens. Our grilled organic sirlion on ciabatta with caramelized onion, tomato, fresh herb mustard and mixed greens sirlion came from Meyer Ranch, a farm where everything is all natural and the beef is humanely raised. In addition to sandwiches, Chef Brune prepared thai BBQ chicken skewers with Marjoram Red Pepper Yogurt, a hand-picked cheese display with homemade preserves and topped everything off with organic cookies and brownies.
